Race Team Update – May 2023 Week #4

The month of May comes to an end, but the JConcepts race team keeps things rolling which you can read for yourself in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in sunny Florida. There were multiple events happening through the state on Memorial Day weekend so our first stop is at Newberry RC Park in Newberry. This past weekend they held their Sunshine State Memorial Salute race, and team driver Hunter King competed in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes. At the end of the weekend he would lock up the final spot on the podium in both classes!

Also throwing down laps at this race was JC driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. He competed in three classes and set the TQ and took the win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck and Mini Truggy classes, plus he picked up another W in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Team driver Zach Griggs raced in the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes, and he would finish 5th in 2wd and 4th in wheeler!

JConcepts driver Nolan Manchester also competed in the same two classes. He finished 3rd in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class, along with a TQ and win in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

Next, we visit Ron Jon Raceway in Brooksville for this quick report from team driver Erik Everett. He went there recently to compete in the final race of their points series, and he finished 2nd for the day in the Mod Sprint class. After the season points were calculated he would take home the overall title in the series for this class too!

Our last tour stop in the state is at B&T RC Raceway in Crestview. There we find team driver Justin Cranford who recently competed in the opening round of their Summer Series.

This race featured both electric 1/10 and nitro 1/8 classes, and he set the TQ in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes along with qualifying 4th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy. In the mains he would finish 2nd in nitro buggy and took the wins in the electric classes!

Now we fly up the Northeast and stop in at Hillside Raceway in Epping, NH. Team driver Daniel Sedler competed in their recent A Race To Remember event, and he doubled down with a TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!

Pivoting to Pennsylvania we stop in at GSRC (G’s RC Raceway) in the city of Shippensburg. Team driver Javon Mallory recently competed in their Clown Shoe Showdown event in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes and he would go on to finish 11th in e buggy and 9th in nitro buggy!

Wiggling our way to West Virginia we get our next report from Bella Rogers. Over the weekend she attended Tri Cities RC Racing in Lavalette for their Dueling Banjo race event which was also the series finals. She signed up for the 1/8 Electric Truggy and Buggy classes and would set the TQ and take home the win in both! After the season points were added up she would finish 2nd in e truggy and 1st place in e buggy!

Firing over to Bullet Town RC in Milan, TN we get this next update from JC pilot Drew Spurgeon. He recently went there to compete in their 15th annual Mayhem race, and he set the TQ and took home the win in both the 1/8 Expert Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes!

Moving over to Missouri let’s get a few updates from the team competing at different tracks. Starting with team driver Braden Bruce he recently went to Chicken Dinner Raceway in Neosho for their Show Me Challenge event.

He signed up for the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, and he set the TQ in the e buggy class and then finished 3rd overall along with a 2nd place finish in e truggy! Joining him on the e buggy podium was his dad and fellow JC driver Calvin Bruce!

Staying in the state we now visit Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs to see how the team finished up in their recent Summer Series. Starting with JC driver Adam Kasch he let us know that he finished 10th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd place in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

JC driver Mike Garrison competed in the Expert 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes. In the nitro class he would just miss out on the transfer to the A Main, and in the e buggy class he finished in 6th place!

JConcepts driver Nick Gibson competed in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and he would lock up the 2nd spot on the podium after the 20 minute a main!

Crossing the stateline into Oklahoma, let’s see how the team finished up at the recent Power Products Oval Classic held at Taylor Park RC Raceway in the city of Yukon.

Starting with team driver Tyler Keel he set the TQ and finished 2nd in the Outlaw Sprint class!

Taking the win in this class was his tire teammate Nathan Dean!

Team driver Shane Wheeler was also at this event and competed in the Outlaw Sprint class. Unfortunately due to some electrical gremlins he wasn’t able to make the main event, but he still had a good time!

JC driver David Alford competed in the Midwest Mod class and locked up 3rd place!

Team driver Brian Stanton raced in both the Latemodel and Outlaw Sprint classes for this event. He just missed out transferring to the main event in the Outlaw Sprint class, while in the Latemodel class he set the TQ and finished 3rd overall!

Shooting down to Texas we get our next report from team driver Billy DiCorte Jr. He recently traveled to BarnesTown RC Track in Atascosa to compete at Round 3 of the RC Pro Series in three different classes.

He would finish 4th in 1/8 Expert Electric Truggy, 3rd in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1st place in 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Our final tour stop this week is in Menifee, CA for the annual Boneyard Madness invitational monster truck event.

Team driver Jeremy Bunting was at this race and he tied for 4th place in the Freestyle class with his Carnage monster truck!

Team driver Trever Adamo would take the racing win with his Hangtime replica monster truck!
