Race Team Update – November 2023 Week #1

A new month equals the same old winning results for the JConcepts race team as they continue to dominate on tracks around the globe! Read about our winning ways in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out east at the The Track in Gaithersburg, MD. This past weekend they hosted the Mid-Atlantic Championship which brought out 121 entries!

Leading the way for the team was JC driver Enzo Albertoni. He competed in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes along with 13.5 Stadium Truck. When the event wrapped up he would come home with three TQs and wins!

Also competing for the team was fellow JC driver Josh Parrish in the same three classes. Josh would finish 4th in Mod wheeler and 2nd place in Mod 2wd and 13.5 Truck!

Their tire teammate Dave McEwen was also at this event and competed in five different classes, and he put in great results once again in all of them!

  • 13.5 SCT = TQ and 1st place
  • 40+ Mod 4wd Buggy = TQ and 2nd place
  • 40+ 2wd Buggy = 2nd place
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = 3rd place
  • Mod 4wd Buggy = 5th place

Next, let’s head down to Savannah, GA where Phil Hurd Raceway is nestled at. This past weekend they hosted Round 3 of the GORCS (Georgia Off-Road Championship Series), and team driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. took the TQ and W in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy and Pro Buggy classes, plus Pro4!

Flying down to Florida we stop in at Sundancers RC in Port St. Lucie for this quick update from team driver Brett Kingsbury. This past weekend he went there to compete in Round 2 of the Southern Showdown where he took the TQ and win in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Moving over to Mississippi let’s catch up with JC driver William Ables. He recently went to Saratoga-Flowood RC Raceway in Magee which put on a Mississippi RC ProAm event. William signed up for the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class and would race on to take the TQ and win!

Angling our way into Arkansas we get our next report from JConcepts team driver Kevin Mcnatt. Last weekend he made his way to Bulldog RC Super Speedway in the city of Greenwood to compete in their Fall Brawl trophy event.

When the dust has settled he would lock up 2nd place on the podium in the SC Mod class!

Shooting over to Texas let’s see how the team performed at the RC Pro finals that took place at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto that brought out 172 entries!

Starting with team driver Billy DiCorte Jr. he let us know that after the points were tallied up he would finish with the class title in the Expert 1/8 Electric Truggy and Open 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes!

Team driver Tyler Keel also competed at the finals in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished a solid 7th place!

JC driver Jaxen Anderson set the TQ in the 1/8 Open Nitro Buggy class before finishing with a DNF in the finals, but his car was looking fast all weekend long!

Team driver Dillon Caldwell competed in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class at the final round and would roll out of there with the W!

Heading north we cross into Oklahoma and make our way to the town of Yukon where Taylor Park RC Raceway is located. This past weekend they ran their Nightmare On Dirt event and team driver Jordan Hefler set the TQ and took 1st place in the SC Mod, Midwest Mod and Street Stock classes, plus a 2nd place finish in Wingless Sprint and a TQ and another 2nd podium spot in the Midget class!

Moving north to Omaha, NE where the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) is located let’s see how the team finished up in the opening round of their Winter points series. Starting with team driver Brandon Kearney he let us know that he raced in the 1/8 Nitro and Electric classes, and he finished 3rd in nitro and 2nd place in e truggy!

His tire teammate Ashton Abdul was also at this opening round and he finished 8th in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 5th place in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy!

JConcepts driver Bradley Peterson also raced in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and he just missed the transfer spot to the A Main and finished 13th overall!

Team driver, and HobbyPlex race director, Alex Sturgeon threw down some laps for this round in the Mini Truggy class and would go on to take the TQ and win!

His tire teammate Drew Rubenking signed up for the Expert 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes, and when the weekend was over he would finish 5th in nitro buggy and 2nd overall in e buggy!

Now let’s see how our international team finished up at the recent Australian 1/10 Off-Road National titles held at West Coast Model RC in Perth. Starting with team driver Andrew Selvaggi he competed in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class and would win the national championship for a 3rd year in a row!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Jarod Ment. At this race he competed in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes along with Mod Stadium Truck. When the event had concluded he would finish 3rd in mod wheeler, 2nd in mod 2wd, and the TQ and W in the truck!
