JConcepts has an extensive line of tools and accessories to perform basic and specialty functions on a variety of different vehicles. The RC Chili Bowl was a recent event for the team and in this article we will highlight some of the tools we offer and their realistic functions in the world of off-road or oval at an event like the CB nationals.
JC Aluminum Ride Height Gauge – 2282
- The Aluminum Ride Height Gauge is incredibly versatile as it goes from 10mm to 40mm and is still pretty portable. The Gauge comes in the standard JConcepts blue or black.
JConcepts Aluminum Camber Gauge – 2283
- While in most off-road applications you really typically only need anywhere from 0 to -2 degrees as options for camber, in dirt oval it is nice to have +3 to -3 if not more and the JConcepts camber gauge option gives all of that going from +10 to -10 while still easily fitting in the tool box.
JConcepts Wash Brush – 2498
- The wash brush from JConcepts can be used as a normal brush, but was actually designed to be mounted to a plastic container and used as a portable tire wash bucket. When traveling, being portable is important and the JConcepts brush can be attached to a smaller plastic container and thrown in the gear bag or tool box to fly or drive to an event.
- The Black box used for shorty battery storage, motor storage, spring storage etc also has holes in the bottom of it that line up with the wash brush so that the black box itself could be used as wash bucket.
JConcepts Tire Break-In Drill Adaptor – 2871
- The JConcepts drill adaptor came to great use at the Chili Bowl for example to not only sand tires but also to help break in the foam inserts. Not only can you use the adaptor on 12mm hex options like 1/10th scale and short course tires, but it also works with 17mm options like 1/8th buggy and truggy tires. It also is built on a 1/4″ adaptor allowing for even more drills to be used.
JConcepts Tire Balancer – 2538
- A good tire balancer is extremely important as a car will handle the best without any deflection from the tires. Typically the larger the tires are the more likely they are to need balancing but even smaller tires can likely use some balancing help. The JConcepts tire balancer can be used on 12mm and 17mm hexes.
JConcepts Hex Driver Wrench Set – 2457
- Hex drivers can be some of the most important tools an rc racer has. The JConcepts set includes standard 1.5, 2, and 2.5mm options, 2 and 2.5mm ball ends, and 5.5 and 7mm nut drivers. These drivers can be used with the included ‘fin’ style handle or 1/4″ drill or larger. The tips can majorly cut down on the amount of individual tools in the tool box and the magnetic aspect of the tools make them easy to swap out in the handle or on the drill.
JConcepts Fin Turnbuckles Wrenches – 2234 and 2508
- The Fin Titanium Turnbuckles are some of the most distinguishable items JConcepts has ever produced. JConcepts offers 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale turnbuckle wrenches specifically for the Fin turnbuckles.
