In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Missouri team driver, Justin Driemeier!
1. Which professional driver did you follow when you first started RC racing, and why? Or perhaps you followed a local or regional driver?
I think Kinwald would have been the most prominent person to watch at that time. His face was on everything.
2. Which type of racing format do you prefer and why. A trophy race that runs over a weekend or a single day event with multiple rounds in a points series?
I’m not picky about formats as long as there is good competition and racing. I will add the older I get the shorter events are more appealing to me.
3. Dirt Oval has really grown in popularity over the past few years. In your opinion what is the main cause of this increase of left turn drivers?
I think the equipment has a lot to do with it. Once these oval companies started making complete kits it has helped get more people involved. For a long time you had to order from several places just to complete a chassis kit. That just isn’t the case anymore.
4. In your opinion, when heading to the track what is the JConcepts product that is a must have on race day and why?
For the last couple of years I would say Sprinter tires. They are the spec tire at many tracks and they work almost everywhere.
5. Name one thing people might be surprised to know about you.
I started racing when I was 13 years old and ran off-road most of the years I’ve raced.
