Race Team Update – March 2024 Week #2

As per usual, the JConcepts team knocked it out of the park this week as far as results go, check out where the team was racing and how they did! #GoJConcepts

The Florida team hit Buggyland and dominated the premier classes. Julien Oliveras would take a TQ and win in Pro Ebuggy and a Win in Pro Nitro Buggy. Trent Walker would finish up 2nd in Pro Buggy and Ebuggy, and Tyler Hooks would finish 3rd in both classes as well as with the TQ in Pro Buggy. Newcomer to the team Sean Krause would find himself 4th on the podium in Pro Ebuggy!

The ROAR Nationals Warm-Up for 1/10th scale electric off-road dirt took place this past weekend at Beach RC. The official name for the race was The Palmetto Classic.

Cade Burnette would take the win in 4wd Modified as well as 5th in 2wd Modified. Dave McEwen would win 40+ 4wd, finish 4th in 40+ 2wd, 4th in 4wd Modified, and 4th in Short Course. Chris Van Air would take 2nd in Stadium Truck, 2nd in 2wd Modified 2nd in 4wd modified, and 2nd in 40+ 2wd. Tom Sherman would TQ Short Course and Justin Sherman would finish 3rd in Short Course!

FORC Raceway hosted their annual March Madness event, Dustin Evans would take the 2wd modified title with Hunter King Winning 4wd Modified! Dustin would finish up 2nd in 4wd, Braden Bruce 2nd in 2wd, and Braxten Culley would round out the podium 3rd in both classes.

 

Hunter King would also go on to win 2wd and 4wd Expert Stock as well at the event. Braden Bruce would finish up 2nd in 2wd expert stock and his dad Calvin would finish 2nd in 4wd expert stock.

Finally in the 40+ 2wd Class Drew Spurgeon would take the win!

The JConcepts Team would take 4 overall series wins at the 2024 Tekno RC Winter Series hosted by Hobbytown Hobbyplex. In the Expert Nitro Buggy class it would be Riley Filbert with Ashton Abdul finishing up 2nd and Drew Rubenking 3rd. In Expert Ebuggy, Drew Rubenking would win the series ahead of Ashton in 3rd. Expert Truggy would see Brandon Kearney take the series win with Jake Stoletzing finishing up 3rd, Kearney would also take 2nd in Etruggy. Finally Alex Sturgeon would win the Mini Truggy class for the series!

There was a 2nd March Madness event this past weekend hosted by RC Madness, Juan Lopez would take the win in 4wd Modified Buggy and a 2nd in 2wd Modified, and Matthew Sousa would win 13.5 Stock 4wd Buggy with a 2nd in 2wd Stock Buggy.

Fastlane Saturday Series Round 5 saw a gaggle of JConcepts drivers in attendance. Shane Alberico would win 2wd stock buggy and Mike Garrison would back it up with a win in 4wd stock buggy!

Over In Australia Ben Panic would TQ and win 2wd and TQ and 2nd in 4wd at the Campbelltown Night Series round 3.

Evan Roeth held it down for the Canadians heading to Coastal Off-Road Club for their weekly racing events. He would win 17.5 2wd, finish 2nd in 13.5 4wd Buggy, and TQ and 1st in 13.5 Stadium Truck.

Scotty Brewer headed to Badlands RC for the Race 2 The Cure. He was able to finish up 2nd place in the 40+ Nitro Buggy class! Tony Hinojosa also attended the same event and was able to win 4wd SC and finish 3rd in etruggy.

Finally Maddy Long competed in the Friday Night Lights event at Thunder Alley in North Carolina. She finished 3rd in the 2wd Modified class, and took the TQ and Win in 4wd Modified.
