Race Team Update – February 2026 Week #3

It was another winning weekend for the JConcepts race team. Read about our recent success in this fresh edition of Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report up in the Pacific Northwest in Duvall, WA. Last weekend Round 6 of the DieHard RC series at the Hangar took place, and team driver Lance Bakki would finish 2nd in 1/8 Electric Truggy and 1st place in 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Sending it south we now catch up with team driver James Rodriguez. Last weekend he went to Rain-Man’s hobbies in Bakersfield, CA to compete in their 2026 Winter Champs event that saw 243 entries! He competed in the 13.5 EDM (Eastern Dirt Modified) class for the first time, and he is off to a great start and he finished with the TQ and 2nd place!

Next, we visit MHOR RC Raceway in Aurora, CO for this quick report from JC driver Sam Ford. Last weekend he competed at their 2026 Rumble in the Rockies trophy race, and he would put in some solid results!

  • Vintage 2wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • Vintage 2wd Stadium Truck = TQ and 1st place
  • Mod 4wd Buggy = 3rd place
  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = 3rd place

His son Cam also finished 2nd in the B Main for 17.5 4wd Buggy too!

Now we go to Oklahoma to get a few reports from the team competing at different events. Starting with team driver Brian Stanton he let us know that last weekend he went to Mojo Hobby in Oklahoma City to compete in their Icebreaker trophy race.

In the Outlaw Sprint class he just missed the transfer spot, but he had better luck in the Midget Sprint class as he secured the TQ and W!

Our second report in this state comes to us courtesy of team driver Tyler Keel. Last weekend he visited Race Place RC which is also located in Oklahoma City.

They held another round of their Winter points series, and when the round had wrapped up he would finish 2nd overall in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Now we shoot down to Texas to get this quick report from JConcepts driver Brian Henn. Last weekend he went the city of Porter where Mike’s Gulf Coast RC Raceway is located at to compete in the opening round of the HARC (Houston Area RC) Series. He is off to great start as he would take the overall win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class after the AA mains were ran!

Cutting the corner we now visit Triple Nickel Raceway in Bartow, FL for our next update. Last weekend Round 1 of the Florida RC Championships 1/8 Series took place at this track, and team driver Max Mejia was throwing down fast laps as he finished 4th in Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy along with a 3rd place finish in the Open 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Staying in Florida we now visit DFD R/C in Plant City.

Team driver Tyler Scofield recently competed on their clay dirt oval track in the Losi Sprint class, and he would take home the win plus $100 in cold, hard cash!

Moving north we cross the state line into Georgia. Last weekend Lil Cochran RC Speedway located in Cochran held a trophy event, and team driver Doug Dragotta threw down some fast left turn laps as he finished 4th in 360 Sprint along with a 2nd place finish in the Midget Sprint class!

Heading up the coastline we now visit Virginia R/C Motorsports in Richmond, VA. Last weekend they held a Monster Truck points event, and team driver Joe Tate would finish 2nd in the Retro class!

Our next tour stop is at The Track in Gaithersburg, MD. Last weekend they held their February Freeze trophy race, and team driver Brian Miskolczi let us know that he would finish the event with a 2nd place finish in 17.5 2wd Buggy!

Kicking it over to Kentucky we now stop in the city of Middlesboro. Last weekend the RC Arena held their Tri-State Championship so let’s see how the team did starting with team driver Wade Piggott.

He reported that he would set the TQ in both the Pro 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes then drive on to finish 2nd in e buggy and 3rd overall in nitro!

JConcepts driver Derrick Harris signed up for the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, and he would finish just shy of the transfer spot to the A Main for both!

Also running laps for the team was JC pilot Rylan Ruble. He registered for the Pro 1/8 Electric Truggy class and would drive on to take the win!

On to Ohio we now visit EN Hobbies in city of Columbus. This facility held the Ohio Stock Off-Road Champs last weekend, and team driver Geoffrey Ketler would net himself a 14th place finish in 17.5 2wd Buggy, 2nd place in 13.5 Stadium Truck, plus the TQ and win in 13.5 Short Course Truck!

Also throwing down fast laps at this race was his tire teammate Brandon Marsh who competed in three classes with great success!

  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = TQ and 1st place

Team products used:

Bouncing over to the Hoosier state we now visit Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in Albany. Last weekend they held Round 4 of their winter points series, and team driver Bryson Furnish would put in sold results in this round!

  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = 1st place
  • Mod 4wd Buggy = 2nd place
  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = 5th place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = 8th place

Team products used:

Moving up to Michigan we now visit RC ONE Racing in Macomb Township. Team driver Ilan Sanderson recently competed in a trophy event held there, and he wrapped up the event with a 9th place finish in 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus two 3rd place finishes in Mod 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we splash down at Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in Brookfield, WI. Last Saturday Night was another round of their points series, and team driver Tyler Aubart would end the night with a 7th place finish in 13.5 4wd Buggy, 5th overall in Mod 2wd Buggy and 3rd place in 17.5 2wd Buggy!

Crossing over the state line we now visit FMRC Raceways in Dilworth, MN. Last weekend they held Round 4 of their Winter Series, and team driver Marco Moreno was ready to compete as he put in some solid results once again!

  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = 2nd place
  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = 4th place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = 6th place

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Jayden Edmunds. He recently competed in the 2026 South Australian State Titles and would end the event with a 2nd place finish in Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy!
