2026 North Georgia Shootout JConcepts Team Report

The 1/8th scale team headed out to Georgia this past weekend for the North Georgia Shootout which has quickly become a staple event on the yearly calendar. The crew put in a fantastic layout and a few of the top 25 drivers flew over to battle it out with the East Coast’s best.

The event held open practice Friday followed by three rounds of qualifying with the best 2/3 rounds counting in the popular qual-points format on Saturday and main events on Sunday.

The event also hosted some fun extra events like a pit stop challenge and shootout events.

Moving into the main events all the Nitro A-Mains would be 30 minutes each and each of the electric classes would have Double Mains to decide the winners.

Pro Buggy: Despite starting down in 5th Ryan Maifield would methodically work his way to the front of the field in between the first and second pit stops. Maifield wouldn’t look back taking the victory and being the only driver to run 62 laps. Seth VanDalen and Julien Oliveras would each climb up one position from where they started to finish 2nd and 3rd with Jared Wiggins and Cole Ogden rounding out the top 5.

Pro EBuggy: Ryan Maifield would take flag to tone wins in A1 and A2 to win the overall in Ebuggy. Early mistakes in both mains from Seth VanDalen would allow Jared Wiggins to move up and finish 2nd in both mains for 2nd overall. Seth VanDalen would recover to finish 3rd overall. Maddy Long would finish up 4th after a 3rd in A2 and Cole Kasten would round out the top 5.

Pro Nitro Truggy: Seth VanDalen, Jared Wiggins, and Cole Kasten would all keep it close through the first two pit stops before VanDalen would stretch out a lead and Wiggins would fall from 2nd to 3rd with Kasten capitalizing to finish 2nd. Cole Ogden and Aidan Ridgeway would continue to finish 4th and 5th.
