Race Team Update – April 2026 Week #2

Another solid week of racing is in the books and it looks like there is no stopping the success of the JConcepts race team in 2026! Read about our continued winning ways in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report up at Dollar Hobbyz in Woodbury. MN. Last weekend was their final points race of the Winter season, and team driver Thor Ott would take home the series title in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Next, we head to Wisconsin to see how the team finished up at a few different events taking place in the state. We first check in with team driver Ben Humphrey who went to Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in Brookfield to compete in their US Buggy Championships. He signed up for two classes and would finish 9th overall in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Our next update in the state comes to us courtesy of team driver Joe Zaier Jr. This past weekend he went to the final round of the Turf Wars held at Zero RC Raceway in Marshfield, and he would come home with the TQ and W in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we now splash down at Sandpit RC in Jonesville, MI. Last weekend was the final round of their nitro off-road series, and team driver Kyle King would lock up 2nd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class after running the 20 minute A Main final!

His tire teammate Tony Sosnowicz was also at the finals, and he would finish 3rd for the day in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1st place in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! After the season points were calculated he would also take home 1st place in both classes too!

Now we move east and stop in at Rhythm RC Raceway in Hammonton, NJ. Last weekend was their season opener and team driver John Goode would lock up 3rd place in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class! Fellow JC driver Colton Furnari would double down with two wins in the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes, while fellow JConcepts pilot David Longaker would capture the 2nd place podium spot in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Moving south we make out way to Richmond, VA where Round 2 of the Virginia R/C Motorsports point series recently took place. Team driver Jayden Doyle would take home 1st and 3rd place in the Retro class and joining him on the podium in 2nd was fellow team driver Chris Roberts!

Heading back to the west we now visit the RC Farm in Crossville, TN. Last weekend was also their season opener that saw 178 entries! Team driver Randy Enger was ready to roll and he set the TQ in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy and then raced on to take the win, plus he picked up another W in the Pro 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Over to Oklahoma we now visit the city of Ardmore where Shaw’s RC Track is located. This track recently hosted Round 3 of the Red River Shootout Series, and team driver Colton Jones would finish 5th in Expert 1/8 Electric Truggy, plus 2nd overall in the Sportsman 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

His father, and fellow JC driver, Jerm would also grab a 2nd place finish in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Shooting down to Texas we now visit the city of Porter where Mike’s Gulf Coast RC Raceway is located. Last weekend this track hosted the Adams Forever Race, and team driver Brian Henn would lock up the TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Now we fly out west to Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway in Victorville, CA. Last weekend they held their 3rd Annual West Coast World Of Oval Championships that saw 128 entries! Team driver James Rodriguez competed in the Invite Late Model and Sprint classes, and he would end up 9th in the Sprint class and 2nd place in Late Model!

Now let’s get an update from our Australian team who recently competed at the 2026 ACT state titles in Canberra, Australia. After two solid days of racing team driver Lachlan Munday would finish 3rd in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes, plus he would lock up the TQ and win in the Stadium Truck class! His fellow JC driver Lachlan Donnelly would lock up the TQ and win in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes!
