This past weekend the JConcepts Dirt Oval crew headed to Illinois to BB Mods for the Spring Dirt Oval Nationals. 186 entries showed up to take part in the 2nd running of the event at BB Mods.
Friday held a full day of open practice where drivers came to grips with their cars and the surface. In the Modified Sprint and Late Model classes, JConcepts Ellipses were added as a tire option to compete with the other spec tire options at BB Mods. The JConcepts team was competitive from the jump and had a great showing all weekend.
There would be 3 rounds of qualifying with a race points format. Without a seeding round all of the starting positions for each round would be randomized and there would be no drops after qualifying. The top 5 drivers in each class would move directly into the main events with 2 bump ups.

Mod Sprint: 2nd Tyler Hooks, 5th Brad Shearer
Mod Late Model: 2nd Tyler Hooks, 6th JoJo Lewis, 7th Brad Shearer
Midwest Mod: 1st JoJo Lewis, 2nd Jomari Lewis
The A-Main events would be 50 laps a piece, with lower mains being shorter in length.
