Race Team Update – May 2026 Week #2

Another week of racing is in the books and the JConcepts race team continues to rack up wins around the nation! See where we won at this past week in this fresh edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report in the Pacific Northwest at NORA Skagit River Raceway in Burlington, WA. This past weekend was the opening round of their off-road series, and team driver Tony Corless was ready to roll as he doubled up in the Open 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes with two wins!

Moving south we now catch up with team driver Jeremy Bunting. This past weekend he competed in Round 2 of the Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks points series held at Auburn RC in Auburn, CA.

He would finish as the runner up in the Challenger class, while in Retro he would take the win!

Moving east we now visit Rocky Mountain RC Raceway in Salt Lake City, UT. Last weekend they held the Utah State Oval Championships, and team driver Hudson Stewart would finish 4th in Mod Sprint, 2nd in Mod Late Model along with the TQ and win in Thunder Truck!

Now we head north to FTR Raceway in Foley, MN for the season opener. Team driver Ben Humphrey was in attendance for this new race season, and he is off to a great start as he finished 3rd in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 1st place in 1/8 Nitro Truggy!

On to Ohio we now check in on the team competing at TARCAR in the city of Toledo. Last weekend was Round 1 of their Glass City Series, and team driver Tony Sosnowicz would finish 4th in 1/8 Electric buggy and 3rd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! Taking 2nd place in nitro buggy was fellow JC driver Mike Legue!

Next, we make our way further east to Pennsylvania to see how the team performed at the finals for the Central PA RC Monster Truck series held in the city of Ashland. JConcepts driver JJ Eaton would compete in several classes and come home with some great results!

  • ProMod = TQ and 1st place
  • Challenger = TQ and 1st place
  • Retro = 2nd place
  • SportMod = 2nd place
  • 2wd = 3rd place

He also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for competing in the most classes at a single RC event too!

Team driver Scott Welch also competed in multiple classes and he would finish 5th in the Challenger class, 3rd in both the ProMod and SportMod classes, plus a 2nd place finish in the 2wd class!

Sending it south we now get our next update from JC pilot Brian Miskolczi. This past weekend he attended the season opener at Truth Motorsports in Culpepper, VA, and when the dust had settled he would finish 3rd in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd place in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Joining him on the truggy podium in 1st place was his tire teammate Garrett McCutchan!

Working our way to the west we now catch up with team driver Wade Piggott. This past weekend he went to Accel RC in Gay, WV to compete in their Summer Shootout trophy event. He competed in the Pro 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes and would come home with the TQ and W in both!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Randy Enger. Last weekend he went to RC Farm in Crossville, TN to compete in their Springfest trophy race, and he sprung to action as he locked up the TQs and wins in both the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!
