Round 3 of the JConcepts Indoor National Series for 2026 headed to the always popular Island Speedway in Iowa. 347 entries battled across the 11 classes offered during the series. The Island team prepared a fantastic layout that lead to some amazing racing. Island Speedway also has a fantastic onsite hobby shop, crawler course, oval track, and sweet multi-level pitting.
Thursday was a full day of controlled practice allowing racers to get acclimated to the layout and the grip level. Friday was a round of seeding practice as well as the first round of qualifying. Saturday held qualifiers round 2 and round 3. Finally Sunday was a full day main events and time to crown winners for the event.
Seeding practice was the first time racers battled head to head with the results counting for anything. This would set the lineups for qualifying and the JConcepts team had some intense pace.

Per the series format, Modified and Expert Stock classes would have triple main events with the rest of the classes duking it out with a dual main format. Many of the classes came down to the wire, check out all the podiums below.
2wd Modified: Tom Rinderknecht and Daniel Kobbevik would split wins and 2nd place finishes in A1 and A2 making them the only two drivers with a chance to win going into A3. Tom would make contact with Daniel, waiting to allow Kobbevik to collect himself but the damage would be done for both of them. The tie breaker would go to Rinderknecht with Kobbevik in 2nd. Broc Champlin would take the A3 win which would give him 3rd overall on the podium.

4wd Modified: Daniel Kobbevik was a dominant force in 4wd taking the win in A1 and A2 wrapping things up early. Brennan Schimmel would finish a steady 2nd place in all 3 main events for 2nd overall. Broc Champlin would once again take the win in A3 in this class which was good enough once again for 3rd overall.

17.5 Expert 2wd: This class would see the results sheet turned mostly upside down after qualifying. Daniel Chavez was on top from qualifying through the main events taking the win in A1 and A2 to finish up early. Aaron Mitchell would finish 2nd in A1 and A2 after qualifying 7th on the grid which would be good enough for 2nd overall. 3rd place finishes in A2 and A3 would see Ben Decker finish up 3rd overall.

13.5 Expert 4wd: Maccoy Martin would take the win in A1 from 2nd on the grid, but Domnic Paccione would rebound to win A2 and A3 for the overall win. Martin with a win and two 2nd place finishes would finish 2nd overall. Chavez would once again find the podium in 3rd.
