Race Team Update – August 2026 Week #1

A new month brings the same old results as the JConcepts race team continues to stack up wins at tracks around the nation. Read all about our recent success in this new installment of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out in sunny California as the team was competing at different events throughout the state. Starting with team driver Jeremy Bunting he reported that attended the final round of the Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks Points Series held at Rescue RC Raceway in the city of Rescue.

When the finals were over he would finish 3rd for the season with Carnage replica ride and also 2nd place with his Shotgun monster truck in the Retro class!

Next, we head to San Diego where SDRC is located. This past Saturday they held their opening round of the Endless Summer series, and JConcepts driver Chris Raceles would finish 4th in Mod 2wd Buggy along with the TQ and win in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy!

Our next stop is at Flora Vista RC in Farmington, NM. There we find team driver James Rodriguez who was competing in their 3rd annual Dirt Oval Shootout. When the dust had settled he would put in some great results!

  • Midwest Modified = TQ & 1st place
  • 410 Outlaw Sprint = 2nd place
  • Late Model Modified = 2nd place

Heading east we now visit Shaw’s RC Track in Ardmore, OK. This past weekend they hosted Round 7 of the Red River Shootout Series that saw 128 entries! We had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with JC driver Brian Rohde.

He reported that he would finish 3rd in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy along with the TQ and W in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class!


Team driver Jerm Jones would finish 3rd in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

His son Colton would make two podiums as he finished 4th in Expert 1/8 Electric Truggy and 3rd place in Sportsman 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Staying in the state we now get another report from team driver Brian Stanton. This past weekend he went to the last round of the Sizzlin Summer Series at Dirt Floor in Broken Arrow, and he would finish 2nd in the Mod Sprint class behind fellow JC driver Tim Davis!

Moving over to Missouri we now catch up with team driver Wes Miravalle. This past weekend he attended the opening round of the King of the Hill Series held at St. Louis Dirt Burners in town of Kirkwood, and he would finish 4th overall in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Leaping up to the ‘Land of Lincoln’ we now meet up with JConcepts pilot Larry Wright IV. This past weekend he traveled to River City Raceway in Peoria to sign up for the ROAR Region 5 1/8 Off-Road Regionals where he secured the double TQ and win in the Expert 1/8 Electric and Nitro Truggy classes!

Crossing the Mississippi River we now make our way to Leighton Speedway located in Leighton, IA. This past weekend was their Leighton Nationals that saw 109 entries! Team driver David Fast was in attendance, and when the race was over he would finish 4th in the 410 Sprint class and 2nd overall in the Late Model class!

Now he head to Wisconsin to visit The Yard RC Raceway in the city of Luxemburg.

This past weekend they held their 1st Annual Summer Sizzler trophy race, and team driver Ryan Derenne would just miss the bump spot to the A Main in 1/8 Electric Truggy while in the Mod Stadium Truck class he finished 4th overall!

Also throwing down laps at this race was his tire teammate Kyle Kosek who locked up 3rd place in 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Leaping Lake Michigan we now splash down at KMS Raceway in Carleton, MI. This track was host to Round 4 of THE Series which saw 129 entries! JC driver Ilan Sanderson would win the double A format for 1/8 Electric Buggy to take the win!

He was joined on the podium by fellow JC drivers Michael Rinke (2nd) and Mike Legue (4th)!

Mike would also finish 2nd in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and he was joined on the podium by teammates Larry Komisar (4th) and Tony Sosnowicz (3rd)!

Next, we head over to Pennsylvania for some updates from the team. Our first visit is at Pheasantland RC Park in Boyertown. This facility hosted a recent round of the PA Monster Truck Series, and JConcepts driver JJ Eaton was crushing the competition as he finished 1st and 2nd in the Retro, Challenger and ProMod classes! Fellow JC driver Sean Benfer would finish 3rd in ProMod and 1st place in the SportMod class!

Our next stop in the state is at Route 183 RC Raceway in the city of Schuylkill Haven. Last weekend they held a special dirt oval event to help benefit the family of a fallen racer and the event brought out 149 entries!

JConcepts driver Matt Adams signed up for three classes, and he would finish in the lower mains of the Mod Sprint and Late Model classes, but in Midget Sprint he made the finals where he finished 8th overall!

Heading south we now visit PLRC (power Line RC) in Fredericksburg, VA for our next report. Last weekend they held their Backyard Nationals, and team driver Brian Miskolczi would grab three TQs and wins, while his son Layton would also grab two podium spots!

  • 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy = TQ and 1st place

Layton

  • 1/8 Electric Truggy = 2nd place
  • 1/8 Electric Buggy = 4th place

Team products used:

Sending it further south we now roll into Augusta RC Supercross in Augusta, GA. Last weekend was their Watermelon Classic, and team driver Ryan Rand put in some work with great results!

  • Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 1/8 Nitro Truggy = TQ and 1st place
  • Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy = 2nd place

Also throwing down laps at this race was his tire teammate Owen Simmons who would also come home with some hardware!

  • 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • Mod 4WD Buggy = TQ and 2nd place
  • Mod Stadium Truck = 2nd place
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = 3rd place

Also making the 40+ podium was JC driver Craig Jackson in 2nd place!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver William Ables. Over the weekend he went to Saratoga-Flowood RC Raceway in Magee, MS to compete in their Magnolia X trophy race. He raced in two classes and would finish with the TQ and 2nd overall in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!
