Race Team Update – August 2026 Week #2

The JConcepts race team stays red hot on RC tracks around the globe for the second full weekend of racing in August. Read about our continued winning ways in this blazing hot edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report in the Northeast at Maximus RC Raceway in Seabrook, NH. Team driver John Cravotta recently competed in their Maximus Heat trophy race, and when the event was over he would finish 4th in 13.5 4wd Buggy along with the win in 17.5 2wd Buggy! Taking the TQ in 17.5 2wd was his tire teammate Matt Sousa!

Nudging our way south to New Jersey we stop in at Cruizin With RC’s in the city of Waldwick. Last weekend they held their BBQ Blast trophy race, and JConcepts driver David Longaker was cooking up the competition as he finished 2nd in 17.5 2wd Buggy along with the TQ and win in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class1

Veering our way over to Virginia we stop in at Truth Motorsports in Culpeper. This track was host the most recent round of the VCS (Virginia Off-Road Championship Series) that had to be rescheduled from earlier in the year.

Team driver Brian Miskolczi would finish 2nd in the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes which included a TQ in e buggy! His son Layton would set the TQ in e truggy then race on to finish 3rd overall, plus he picked up the win in e buggy!

Working our way over to West Virginia we now stop in at Altitude RC in the city of Beckley. Round 5 of their Monday Night Mayhem series recently took place and team driver Casey Bias would grab the TQ in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes, then race on to finish with a DNF in 2wd along with the W in 4wd!

His son Colton would bring home the win in the Novice 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Also competing for the team at this event was JC pilot Brent Hatcher. He would set the TQ in the Stadium Truck class then race on to take the win, plus he picked up another win in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Next, we head south to the Loganville RC Complex in Loganville, GA. This past weekend they hosted a ROAR Region 3 trophy event, and team driver Shay Brand would grab the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Staying in the state we now head to Phil Hurd Raceway in Savannah. Last weekend they held Round 1 of their Sumner/Fall Series, and team driver Wilson Cowart took the TQ and win in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Taking 2nd place in this class was team driver Rob Lupo!

Crossing the state line our next update is from team driver Randy Enger. This past weekend he went back to Rocket City Radio Controlled Race Club (RC3) in Huntsville, AL to compete in their Rocket City Challenge that saw 166 entries!

When the racing was done he would finish 4th in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class! Joining him on the e truggy podium in 2nd place was fellow JC driver Matt Thompson!

JC driver Peyton Jaynes was also throwing down fast laps for this event as he would grab the TQ and W in the Mod 2wd Buggy class! Taking 3rd place in this class was JConcepts driver Owen Simmons, and locking up the 5th and final podium spot was JC pilot Braden Bruce!

Next, we head to Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO for this quick report from team driver Alex Sturgeon. This past weekend he competed in Round 2 of their Summer Sizzle Series where he grabbed the TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Now let’s get some updates from our International team starting with team driver Jarod Ment. This past weekend he made the trip from Australia to Hamilton, New Zealand to participate in the inaugural 1/10 Off-Road Carpet Nationals that saw 200+ entries! He would set the TQ in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes then race on to finish 2nd in 2wd and took home the win in the wheeler class!

Also competing at this event for the team was JConcepts driver Logan Toia who finished 5th in Mod 4wd Buggy and 3rd place in Mod 2wd Buggy!
