Race Team Update – September 2026 Week #1

The JConcepts race team continues to grab wins around the globe in the opening weekend of September. Read about our continued success on the track in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report at 5280 Raceway in Lakewood, CO. This past weekend the inaugural 5280 Raceway Off-Road Championships took place here and the team was ready to roll. Team driver Sam Ford would grab 2nd place in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

JC driver Rob Katnich reported that he finished 3rd in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy along with a 2nd place finish in 40+ Mod 4wd Buggy!

Legendary Colorado team driver Rob Sturghill finished 8th in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy after some tie breakers were used along with a 4th place finish in 40+ mod wheeler!

Next, we head down to the Rocket City Radio Controlled Race Club (RC3) located in Huntsville, AL. Last weekend this track held Round 5 of their points series, and team driver Randy Enger was on a roll as he grabbed the double TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!

Heading to the coast we now stop in at WORC in Lucama, NC.

This past weekend was Round 5 of their Super 7 Series, and JConcepts pilot Josh Parrish was flying high as he grabbed the TQ and W in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Working our way up to West Virginia we now stop in at The Emporium in Princeton. Last weekend they held a special Kids Cancel Cancer Charity Race that raised $360 for the CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital in Charleston! Representing the team at this race was team driver Casey Bias and his son Colton. Casey would grab two 2nd place finishes in the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

His son would lock up the final podium spot in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

On to Ohio we now get a few updates from team driver Tony Sosnowicz who was keeping himself busy at a few different events this past weekend. His first update was from Round 3 of the Glass City Series that took place at TARCAR in the city of Toledo. He would grab 1st place in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class, and joining him on the podium to complete the JConcepts sweep were tire teammates Mike Legue (TQ and 2nd) and Chuck Berg (3rd)!

Mike also took the win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class too with Tony grabbing 2nd!

Tony then competed in Round 8 of the TARCAR Oval Series, and he would race on to finish 3rd in Mod Sprint & 1st place in Mod Late Model!

Passing over to Pennsylvania we now get a few updates from the team competing at different tracks. Our first stop in the state is at WOCRC Raceway in New Florence. This track hosted the PA State Championship, and team driver Jonathan Sohl would make all of his A Mains as he finished 7th in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with a 4th place finish in 40+ Electric Buggy!

Staying in the PA we move over to Trains and Lanes Hobbies in town of Easton. This past weekend they held their Electric Challenge which brought out 208 entries! Team driver Colton Furnari reported that he would finish 3rd in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the W in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy! Taking the W in e buggy was his tire teammate Ben Decker!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Ben Panic. Over the weekend he made his way to the final round of the Asian Buggy Championships that took place in Jakarta, Indonesia. He competed in two classes, and he would finish 10th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 1st place in Masters 1/8 Nitro Buggy!
