Another week of racing is in the books for the JConcepts race team as they continue to put in work on tracks around the nation. Read about our recent success in this new edition of the Race Team Update!
We start this week’s report down in sunny Florida at B&T RC Raceway in Crestview. This track was host to Round 5 of the Florida RC Championships, so let’s see how the team finished starting with team driver Gene Shrout Jr. He reported that he would take the win in the Vintage 2wd Buggy class!
JC driver Hunter King would double down at this last round with two wins in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading north we now visit the RC Farm in Crossville, TN. This past weekend they held their Summer Shootout trophy event, and team drivers Andrew and Tom Bishop would leave the competition in the dust as Andrew took the TQ and win in the Pro 1/8 Electric Truggy class while Tom also collected the TQ and W in 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Heading west we now visit Taylor Park in Yukon, OK. Last weekend was their 12th Annual Fall Shootout, and team driver Kevin Mcnatt would finish the event with a 2nd place finish in Open Late Model!
His tire teammate Tyler Keel was also putting down fast laps at this event as he finished 2nd overall in the Open Sprint class!

Crossing the state line we now head to Leadbelt RC Speedway in Farmington, MO. This past weekend was Round 4 of the Dirt Oval Mafia Series, and team driver Brad Dean signed up for three classes. When the racing was done he would end up 2nd overall in the Open Sprint class along with two wins in the Open Late Model and Midwest Mod classes! It was also a podium sweep in the Open Late Model class as he was joined on the podium by his teammates Justin Driemeier (TQ & 2nd) and Rod Rippee (3rd)!

Crossing the state line again we now find our way to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha. This past Saturday was the final round of their Summer Series, and team driver, and Plex race director, Alex Sturgeon would finish 2nd overall in the series for the Mod 2wd Buggy class along with 1st place in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy! It was also another podium sweep for the JC team in the 17.5 class as he was joined on the podium by his tire teammates Owen Vanderbeek (2nd) and Dalton Conrad (3rd)!
Team driver David Peavler was also at the finals, and after the season points were added up he would finish 1st in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy! His son Jayme would also take home the title in the Independent 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Next, we head up to Rick’s Hobby Farm in New Richmond, WI for our next update. This past weekend Round 5 of the MNRC Off-Road Racing Series took place there, and it was yet another podium sweep for JConcepts in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class as team drivers Kc Belke (2nd), Kyle Holmberg (1st) and Tyler Aubart (3rd) filled out the podium! Kc would also capture the TQ and W in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!
JConcepts pilot Thor Ott was also competing in this most recent round, and he would net the TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Moving east we now stop in at ACCEL RC in Gay, WV. This track hosted the AROC (Appalachian RC Off-Road Championship) series last weekend, and after the season points were tallied up team driver Wade Piggott would take home the titles in both the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes!

Our next stop is at LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA. This past weekend they held a trophy event that brought out 433 entries! We had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with team driver Ethan Mackanick. He reported that he competed in two classes and would come away with the double TQ and win in the Expert 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes!
Team driver Colton Furnari would suffer a DNF in the finals for the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class, but he had better luck in the Expert e buggy class as he finished 4th overall! His tire teammate Benjamin Decker would finish 5th in e buggy along with a 2nd place finish in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy!
JC driver Mike Petrocelli raced in the Intermediate 1/8 Electric Buggy class and would finish in 7th place!
JConcepts driver David Longaker would lock up 4th place in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!
Team driver Aydan Manchanda was also throwing down laps at this race, and he would grab the TQ and win in the Expert 1/8 Electric Truggy class! This would also wrap up the points title in this class for him too! Joining him on the e truggy podium was fellow JC driver Garrett McCutchan in 4th place!

Continuing east we now visit RC Madness in Enfield, CT. This past weekend they held their 1/10 Off-Road Nationals, and team driver Jonathan Sohl would finish in 4th place for the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!
Team driver Antonio Caputo competed in two classes as this event, and when the racing was done for the day he would take the double TQ and win in the 17.5 2wd Buggy and 13.5 Stadium Truck classes!
