Measuring 4.19” tall x 1.60” wide, The Hold is sized specifically for 1.9” wheels and brings a purposeful, aggressive stance to modern 1:10th scale crawling machines.
The large horizontal traction bars are designed to put a true “Hold” on the terrain, providing bite across dirt, asphalt, grass, mud, rock, and clay. At the tip of each tread section, the downward progression reveals another flat gripping bar, creating offset traction and additional contact points. Between the major tread sections, angular segments add stability and edge control, helping the tire transition through changing terrain and challenging obstacles.
The sidewall design of The Hold is just as detailed as the tread itself. Aggressive sidewall lugs extend toward the outermost edge of the tire, creating a broad, functional contact area while maintaining the scale-inspired appearance. Alternating tread steps move in and out of the sidewall, creating multiple edges that can grab terrain when the tire is loaded from different directions. JConcepts took the hand-cut appearance one step further by incorporating simulated cutting and shaping details throughout the tire.
The horizontal traction bars feature back-cut sections that step down toward the carcass before continuing around the sidewall in a forward-progressing pattern. Additional surface removal across the carcass adds depth and intensity to the overall design. The bead area features bossed lettering with the JConcepts name, tire sizing, and authentic logos, tucked neatly beneath the heavily modified tread design. The Hold comes standard in JConcepts’ grippy green compound and includes firm open cell inserts to provide excellent inner carcass support while allowing the tire to conform to challenging terrain.
