JConcepts has hit the easy button combining the handheld padded material into a cylindrical option fastened to a shank which allows racers to mount straight to a moto-tool. The RM2 mushroom scuff pad allows repeated use, quick and easy attachment, and scuffing results without a deep burn or penetration into tire beads.
Available in two different grit patterns, the green is more abrasive and should be used on tires which have omitted a lot of surface bloom, cloud, or crud on the bead area. The red item produces a slightly lighter texture upon sanding and with its softer nature is ideal for clay compound tires and beads that do not require as much cleaning or scuff to the bead. Each package contains 10 pieces to ensure a healthy selection for many tire mounting applications.
