In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Michigan team driver, Nathan Gross!
1. How did you first hear about racing RC cars? And what classes did you compete in?
I first heard about RC cars though one of my friends and he always told me I need to get one and come race with him and now we are teammates so it’s pretty cool how it worked out and I always ran 17.5 stock buggy!
2. As a new driver for JConcepts in 2023, what do you feel you bring to the team and what are some of your racing goals?
I am super pumped to be joining JConcepts! I always feel like I have the best equipment at every race and really enjoy all the help from everyone! I’m looking forward to working with everyone and helping anyone I can!
3. Stock or 17.5 2wd Buggy is the biggest class in off-road electric racing currently. Why do you think this is and do you see these as a problem moving forward with the racing industry?
I think it’s the biggest class because there’s a lot of different level of racers in stock, and everyone can have someone to battle with and have some good racing with them. I think it will stay big and I don’t see it getting smaller!
4. When it comes to new products released from JConcepts, what are you most excited to see and why?
I always look forward to trying their new products because they seem to just get better and better! I look forward to the most when a new tire comes out because they always seem to be better and better!
5. You are obviously highly skilled when it comes to RC cars, but what is one skill or hidden talent that folks might be surprised to find out about you?
One thing I can say I’m pretty good at is riding a dirt bikes. A lot of my friends know I ride them, but I don’t think most people know that I do!
