Race Team Update – July 2025 Week #3

The JConcepts race team rises higher than the summer heat outside as they continue to stay red hot on tracks around the globe! Read about our continued winning ways in this red hot edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out west at AMain Hobbies in Chico, CA. Recently they hosted a few trophy events so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Bryce Beaver. He attended their 2025 Buggyland USA event and would come home with the double TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes!

His son Collin was also throwing down laps at this event as he would finish 7th in 1/8 Electric Truggy, 3rd in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 2nd place in Expert 1/8 Nitro Truggy!

Taking the win in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Truggy class was his tire teammate Harel Senderov! Harel would also finish 2nd in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1st overall in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

The other event taking place at this facility was Round 3 of the Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks Points Series.

Competing for the team was JC driver Jeremy Bunting, and he would take home the W in the Retro class with his Carnage replica ride!

Heading east we now visit the RC Monster Jam World Finals that were held in Salt Lake City, UT. Team driver Johnathan Schultz attended this event and he would TQ and win on Friday night then backed it up with a TQ and 2nd place overall on Saturday!

Joining him on the podium to complete the team sweep were fellow JC drivers Tad Goad (4th), Ethan Saunders (3rd), and John Schultz (2nd)!

Continuing east we now visit the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha, NE. This past weekend was another round of their Summer Series so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver, and Plex race director, Alex Sturgeon. He reported that he would double dip in this round as he took the TQ and win in both the 13.5 Stadium Truck and 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy classes! Joining him on the 40+ podium to complete the JConcepts sweep were fellow JC drivers Mack Vandebeek (2nd) and David Peavler (3rd)! David also reported that he finished 3rd in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class too!

Alex’s son, and team driver, Emerson Sturgeon would lock up 3rd place in Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy! He was joined on the podium by his tire teammate Jake Wiggs in 2nd place!

Heading east on I-80 we make our way to Webster City, IA where Traction City RC is located at. This past weekend they held Round 2 of their Summer Series, and team driver David Peavler was back at work as he took the TQ and win in the 40+ 2wd Buggy and 13.5 Stadium Truck classes! He was joined on the podium by fellow JC driver Brandon Kearney in 2nd place!

Staying in Iowa we catch up team driver David Fast. This past weekend he went to Leighton Speedway in the town of Leighton for their Freedom 50 dirt oval trophy race. He would finish the day with a 4th place finish in the Late Model class plus a 2nd place finish in 410 Sprint!

Heading up I-35 we now move into Minnesota to get some updates from the team competing at different tracks. Our first stop is at FTR (Full Throttle Raceway) in the city of Foley. They hosted Round 3 of MNRC Series that brought out 134 entries!

Team driver Tyler Aubart was in attendance, and he would finish the round with a 2nd place finish in 1/8 Nitro Buggy plus the W in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

JConcepts driver Joe Scaramell was also throwing down fast laps for this latest round. He would finish 6th in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Truggy class along with a 2nd place finish in 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Our next stop in the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” is at RC UnderGround Raceway located in Warren. They recently hosted Round 2 of their Summer Series, and team driver Marco Moreno had himself a day as he collected TQs and wins in the Mini Truggy and 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!

Next, we make a diagonal to the RC Farm in Crossville, TN.

They recently held their Race on the Mountain 8.0 trophy event, and team driver Andrew Bishop would double up with two TQs and wins in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!

Onward to Ohio we stop in at the city of Toledo where TARCAR is located at. They recently hosted Round 3 of the Glass City Series so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Mike Legue. He let us know that he raced in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes, and he was able to secure the TQ and win in both!

Joining him on the nitro buggy podium to complete the JConcepts podium sweep were fellow JC pilots Michael Rinke (2nd) and Chuck Berg (3rd)!

His tire teammate Mark Henry competed in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he would finish 3rd overall! Taking the win in this class was his tire teammate Steve Culbert!

JConcepts driver Kyle King signed up for two classes, and when the dust had settled he would finish 6th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd place in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Now we head to Pennsylvania to see how the team finished up at a few different RC events. Starting with team driver Tyler Pittman he reported that he recently went to Deer Run RC Raceway in the city of Gardners to compete in their 3rd Annual Fringer Memorial race.

He would finish the race with a 2nd place finish in Losi 22S Sprint spec class along with a 1st place finish in the Under 15 class!

Our next tour stop in the state is in Oakland Mills where LCRC Raceway is located. This past weekend they held their Super Cup event that saw 339 entries! Team driver Dylan Manchanda was in attendance and he raced in the Expert 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes where he finished in the B Main for both!

Team driver Tom Petrella let us know that he finished 5th overall in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class along with a 4th place finish in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Joining him on the 40+ e buggy podium in 2nd place was fellow team driver Matt Willard!

Heading south we make our way to the Tiltyard in Dayton, VA. Last weekend they hosted Round 3 of the Virginia Championship Off-Road Series, and team driver Brian Miskolczi would finish 3rd in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Taking the win in this class was fellow JC driver Maddy Long!

Now let’s get some updates from our International team starting with team driver Evan Roeth. Last weekend he went to Nanaimo, BC, Canada to compete in the NRC Race The Rock event held at the Nanimo Wastelands. He registered for three classes, and he would end the event with TQs and Ws in the 1/8 Electric Truggy and Buggy classes as well as the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of Australian team driver Ben Panic. Recently he went to Brisbane for Round 3 of the Asian Buggy Championships. He competed in two buggy classes, and in the 45+ 1/8 Nitro class he would finish 2nd while in 40+ 1/8 Electric he would take the TQ and win!
