Race Team Update – February 2026 Week #4

The last weekend in February is another winning one for the JConcepts race team as they continue to put in work on tracks around the nation. Read about our recent success in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out east at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. Last weekend the RCMTC season took place there and we had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished starting with team driver Ethan Saunders. He reported that he would finish 3rd in the ProMod class, along with a 1st and 2nd place finish in the Retro class! Joining him on the Retro podium in 3rd was his monster mate JJ Eaton!

Speaking of JJ, he would also grab a TQ and 4th place finish in the ProMod class too!

Team driver Scott Welch also competed in the ProMod class where he qualified 10th overall out of 72 drivers and would narrowly miss making the round of 8!

JC driver Chris Ciriello would take the W in the ProMod class with his new El Toro Loco build!

Heading north we now stop in at Maximus R/C Raceway in Seabrook, NH. This past weekend they held a ROAR Carpet Off-Road Nats warmup event, and team driver Antonio Caputo was heating up as he finished with a TQ and 2nd place finish in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes plus the TQ and win in the Stadium Truck class!

Next, we make out back west to T&T Hobbies in Middletown, NY. Last weekend was their February Freeze event so let’s see how the team performed starting with JConcepts driver Jonathan Sohl. He competed in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes and would finish in the lower mains for wheeler and just missed out of the B Main bump spot in the 17.5 2wd class!

Team driver Jay Bless was also at this event and competed in three classes with great results!

  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = TQ & 1st place
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = 2nd place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = 3rd place

Joining him on the podium in 2nd place was fellow team driver Vin Nocella!

Pushing down to Pennsylvania we now visit Trains and Lanes Hobbies in the city of Easton. This past weekend was their annual trophy race, and team pilot David Longaker would lock up 2nd overall in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Bouncing over to the Hoosier state we now get our next update from team driver Wyatt Gaskins. Last weekend MPRC (Muncie Performance RC) in town of Muncie held another round of their Winter point series, and Wyatt would end the round with a TQ and win in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

Moving north we now visit Sandpit RC in Jonesville, MI. This past weekend they held a trophy event, and team driver Tony Sosnowicz would take home the title in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we now splash down at The Toy Box in New Richmond, WI. Last Friday was another round of their points series, and team driver Tyler Aubart would finish the night with 2nd place finishes in the Expert 13.5 4wd and 17.5 2wd Buggy classes! Joining him on the 17.5 podium to complete a JConcepts sweep were his teammates Kyle Holmberg and Thor Ott!

Now we head to the the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha, NE. Last weekend was another round of their 1/8 off-road series that saw 206 entries! Team driver Mitchell Pavel was ready to roll at this latest round, and he would finish 6th in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class along with a 3rd place finish in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy! Joining him on the podium to complete another JConcepts sweep were his tire teammates Mason Herrick and Seth VanDalen!

JConcepts driver Brandon Kearney would finish 10th in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy, plus grab the TQ and W in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class! Joining him on the podium in 2nd place was fellow JC driver Reiley Maiers!

JC pilot Conner Herrick let us know that he would lock up the final podium spot in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class! Joining him on the podium in 2nd was his teammate Chad Rubenking!

Heading east on I-80 we now make out way over to Alpha RC Raceways in Carbondale, IL.

They recently held Round 4 of their Carpet Off-Road Series, and team driver Wes Miravalle would net himself a 3rd place finish in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Now we head down to Knoxville, TN where ROCCK Racing is located at. Last weekend was Round 3 of the TNA series, and team driver Rylan Ruble would come away with some solid results!

  • Pro 1/8 Electric Truggy = 1st place
  • Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy = 3rd place

Heading west we now visit GS Hobby in Barling, AR.

This track held their Stock Turf Nationals last weekend, and team driver Braden Bruce would double down with two TQs and wins in the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

His tire teammate Peyton Jaynes also competed in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class where he finished 2nd overall!

Shooting down Texas we now visit Thornhill Racing Circuit in the city of Hutto. Last weekend they held Round 2 of their Road To The Worlds series, and team driver Joel Rodriguez would finish 4th in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Our next step is out at Whip It RC in Reno, NV. Last weekend they held the NV State Champs, and team driver Randy Tanaka would finish 1st in the 40+ 13.5 2wd Buggy class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Chris Raceles. Last Saturday he went to SDRC Raceway in San Diego, CA for round 3 of their 2026 Supercross Series. When the night was over he would finish 4th in the 40+ Mod 4wd Buggy class and 2nd place in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy!
