Race Team Update – June 2026 Week #2

The JConcepts race team continues to put in work as they race to the podium on tracks around the nation. Read all about it for yourself in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report in the Northeast at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. This facility was a hotbed for RC racing with two different events taking place last weekend. One of their events was the 3rd Round of the their 1/8 Off-Road points series that brought out 144 entries!

Team driver Jonathan Sohl signed up for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished in the top half of the field!

Also throwing down laps was his teammate Eric Bresnahan. He would also sign up for the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes and would just miss the transfer to the A Main in both while running fast at this event!

Team driver Mason Montminy would finish 8th overall in e buggy while in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class he locked up 2nd place!

The other event taking place outside was the 2026 RCMTC (RC Monster Truck Challenge) Points Series Championship. Team driver JJ Eaton would TQ the Retro, Challenger and ProMod classes then race on to finish 1st and 2nd in the Challenger class along with a 4th place finish in ProMod! When the points were tallied up he would take home the series title in the Challenger class too! His tire teammate Derrick Algieri was also the finals and would finish 3rd in both the Retro and Challenger classes!

JConcepts driver Dan DeFalco would grab the win in the Retro class at the finals!

JC pilot Ethan Saunders was also in attendance and would lock up the series title in the Retro class!

Moving along we now visit PLRC (Power Line R/C) in Fredericksburg, VA for our next update. This past weekend they held their Father’s Day Shootout, and the father and son team of Brian and Layton Miskolczi put in some solid results!

  • 1/8 Electric Truggy – TQ and 1st place
  • 1/8 Electric Buggy – TQ and 2nd place

Layton

  • 1/8 Electric Truggy – 2nd place
  • 1/8 Electric Buggy – 1st place

Working our way to West Virginia we now visit ACCEL RC in the city of Gay. This past weekend they held their Dominate the Dirt trophy event, and team driver Wade Piggott would double down with two TQs and Ws in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes!

Onto to Ohio we now visit TARCAR in the city of Toledo. Last weekend was the 4th round of their points series and team driver Tony Sosnowicz would grab 2nd place in both the Mod Sprint and Late Model classes!

Next, we make our way up to The Yard RC Raceway in Luxemburg, WI for our next report.

Last weekend was Round 3 of their points series, and team driver Ryan Derenne let us know that he finished 5th in both the Stadium Truck and 1/8 Electric Truggy classes!

Moving south we now visit Oklahoma to get some updates from the team competing at different events. We first start at CBRC Raceway in the town of Roff since this track was host to the 2nd Round of the Outlaw Plains Series.

Team driver Tyler Keel was at this event and would finish 4th in the Mod Sprint class!

Also competing for the team was JC driver Billy Caldwell, and he raced in two classes and would finish 7th overall in both the Midget and 13.5 Sprint classes!

Our second visit in the state was at Race Place RC in Oklahoma City. This track held the opening round of their Summer Series and team driver David Alford would lock up 3rd place in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Our third visit in the state is at Shaw’s RC Track in the city of Ardmore. This track host Round 5 of the Red River Shootout which saw 166 entries! Team driver Colton Jones would finish 2nd in 1/8 Electric Buggy while his dad and fellow JC driver Jerm Jones would lock up the final podium spot in Expert 1/8 Nitro Truggy!

Next, we head to Arcor Raceway in Albuquerque, NM for our next update from team driver Tony Hinojosa. This track hosted Round 5 of the New Mexico State Championship Series, and he would take the win in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

For our final few reports we now fly out to The Boneyard in Menifee CA. This facility hosted Round 6 of the SCMT racing series so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Jessica Dahl. For the finals she would grab the win in the Freestyle class, plus she would take home the series championship!

Team driver Michael Letcher would take home the win at the finals for the Pro Mod Racing class, and when the points were added up he would finish 2nd in the Freestyle, Retro and Mini LMT classes!

Team driver Trever Adamo was also at the finals and he would come away with the season title in both the Retro and Pro Mod classes!
