Race Team Update – June 2023 Week #4

The JConcepts race team continues to bring the heat out on tracks around the world! See where we were on fire at in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report up in the northeast at Hillside Raceway in Epping, NH. This past weekend they held their King of the Hill trophy race and team driver Daniel Sedler finished up in 3rd place in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class, and he also set the TQ and took the win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

JConcepts driver John Cravotta also ran in 1/8 Electric Truggy along with 1/8 Nitro Buggy. In e truggy he would just miss out making the podium, and in the nitro buggy class he took the W in the 10 minute A Main!

Whipping it over to Wisconsin let’s see how the team finished up at the recent Midwest Nationals held at Cheese City Xtreme RC in the city of Monroe. Starting with team driver Jared Wiggins he took the double win in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes along with a TQ in nitro buggy! Joining him on the nitro buggy podium were JC teammates Cole Tollard (2nd) and Kayty Roxberry (4th)!

His tire teammate Richie Peters also ran in the e buggy class and finished in 9th place!

Bouncing down to Terre Haute, IN we make a fast break to VCRC (Vigo County Radio Control) Raceway. There we meet up with team driver Adam Kasch who was competing in their Furby 2.0 race that saw 237 entries! He competed in the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes plus 1/8 Nitro Buggy.

After the dust had settled he would finish 11th in the B Main for nitro buggy, 6th place in the C Main for e buggy and 8th place in the A Main for e truggy!

Staying in the state we now get an update from team driver Lukas Klein. He went to the Axialfest Badlands 2023 at the Badlands Off Road Park in the town of Attica and took home the win in the TTC class!

Our next update comes to us courtesy of team driver Jonah Wilson. This past weekend he went to the RC Farm in Crossville, TN for their I-40 Championship event. He would put his cars on cruise control at this race as he took the TQ and wins in both the Expert 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes!

Flying down to Florida let’s touch down at B&T RC Raceway in Crestview. JC driver Justin Cranford recently competed there for the second round of their Summer Series. He would set the TQ in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes and finish 2nd in 2wd and took the win in 4wd!

Shooting over to Texas let’s get a few updates from the team competing at different events. Starting in the city of Justin let’s mosey over to Thompson RC Raceway to see how the team finished up at Round 1 of the CMC Super Cup Series. Team driver Robert Chapman let us know that he took wins in both the Outlaw Sprint and Midwest Mod classes!

JC driver Kevin Mcnatt raced in the SC Mod class and would take the win!

Heading to Forth Worth we stop in at RCCA (RC Car Club of America) for this quick update by team driver Rhett McNair. He recently competed there for the last round of their Summer Off-Road Series and took the TQ and W in the Mod 2wd class!

Angling over to Abilene we get our next update from team driver Jordan Hefler. He recently visited 4way Speedway to sign up for their 1st Annual Zoee Nutter Butter Memorial Race. He raced in the Midwest Mod and Late Model classes and would end the night with the double TQ and win!

Heading to sunny California we get our next update from team driver Jarod Ment. This past weekend he went to SDRC in San Diego to compete in their inaugural Point Break race. When the event had concluded he would finish 2nd in Mod 2wd and took the win in Mod 4wd!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Robert Sorjonen. This past weekend he competed in the 20th Annual Kamloops 2023 Summer Classic held at the Thompson Valley R/C Race Club in British Columbia, Canada. He signed up for four classes and set the TQ in Mod 4wd plus 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy! After the mains were ran he would finish 2nd in e buggy, and snagged three wins in the Mod 2wd Buggy, Mod 4wd Buggy and 1/8 Nitro Buggy! He also earns our coveted “ironman” award for this week too for competing in four classes!
