This past weekend the Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in New Albany, Indiana, hosted its 4th Annual Apocolypse Trophy Race! We had a few JConcepts team drivers in attendance, representing! The Hoosier RC Hobbyplex has a fantastic facility complete with a fully stocked Hobbyshop, plenty of pit area, dirt oval racing, and their premier 1:10 Off-Road Racing track! You may recognize this track because they are a part of the JConcepts Indoor National Series Circuit! In fact, the Fall INS13 race is coming up quick on September 29th – Oct 1st! Hoosier always hosts a spectacular event and sold-out show! In the meantime, check out this dialed layout from the apocalypse race last weekend!
The Hoosier track is a sealed surface, which makes the tire choice easy! We always run Silver Smoothie 2s! There were some stand-out performances this past weekend and we wanted to shout out our team drivers! There were three rounds of qualifying with Talon Henley taking the TQ in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy! Brian Dunbar also had a stand-out day taking the TQ in 2wd Modified Buggy and qualifying 2nd in 13.5 4wd Buggy! When it came to the final results, we saw several great performances! Talon Henley took the win in 13.5 Expert 4wd Buggy, making his way up from 4th on the grid! Brian Dunbar finished 2nd right behind him! In 17.5 2wd Expert Buggy Brian Dunbar also made a comeback from 4th on the grid all the way to the top spot! Check out the podium photos below!
