Race Team Update – October 2023 Week #2

Two weeks of October racing are now in the books and the JConcepts race team continues to scare off the competition! Read where we were winning at this past week in this fresh edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out at Maximus RC Raceway in York, ME. Team driver Daniel Sedler recently attended their Haunted race event, and he finished 4th overall in Mod 2wd Buggy, plus he picked up the TQ and win in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Continuing on our tour we stop in at Slate Valley Raceway in Fair Haven, VT for this quick report from JC pilot John Schultz. He recently competed in a dirt oval event where he took the TQ and win in the 13.5 Sprint Car class!

Shooting south to RC Madness in Enfield, CT we catch up with team driver Matthew Sousa. This past weekend he raced in their Halloween Havoc trophy event in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes. He set the TQ in the 17.5 class and would end up taking the W in both!

Now we make a diagonal to S.H.A.R.C. in Tuscombia, AL for a few updates from the team competing at their end of the season racer appreciation race. Starting with team driver Will Scott he reports that he competed in the Mini Truggy and 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy classes. He set the TQ in e buggy and went on to take the tone to tone win, plus he picked up a 2nd place finish in mini truggy too!

His tire teammate Randy Enger was also at this race and he signed up for the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes. He would finish 2nd in e buggy and also snagged the TQ and win in nitro buggy!

Shooting over to Texas let’s get our next update from team driver Brian Henn. This past weekend he went to Mikes Gulf Coast RC Raceway in Porter to compete in Round 4 of the HARC (Houston Area RC) Series. He competed in the 1/8 Electric Truggy and Pro Electric Buggy classes, and he would finish a solid 7th place in e buggy, plus he grabbed 2nd place in e truggy!

Also competing for the team at this race was JC driver Todd Geary in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class. He started 10th in the finals and moved up to 4th place by the end of the main event!

Next, let’s go check out how the team performed at the recent Halloween Havoc event held at Checkered Flag RC Raceway in Bonner Springs, KS. Starting with team driver Shane Alberico he was busy at this event as he finished 3rd in a trailer race, 2nd place in Mod Sprint and he also took home the win in their special Havoc 100 race!

His father and fellow JC driver David Alberico also put down some left turn laps as he took the win in the Latemodel class!

Now we make our way to Omaha, NE where the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) is located. This past weekend was the opening round of their Winter Carpet series so let’s see how the team did starting with team driver, and race director, Alex Sturgeon. He let us know that signed up for the Mini Mod class and took the TQ and win with his Mini-B!

JC driver David Peavler competed in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class and set the TQ and took home the win!

JConcepts driver Ethan Delair raced in the Mod 2wd Buggy class and set the TQ and finished 3rd overall!

Now let’s head east on I-80 to Island Speedway in Muscatine, IA to get this quick update from team driver Austin Jacobson. This past weekend he raced in their NCTS5 Finals warm-up event by competing in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes. At the end of the day he would leave with a double TQ and win in both buggy classes!

Now let’s bounce over to the Hoosier state for a few updates from the team competing at different tracks. Starting with team driver Brandon Marsh he recently visited Finish Line Raceway in the city of Hudson for the opening round of their points series. He competed in three classes and would secure the TQ and win in Mod and 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus Stadium Truck!

Moving over to the city of Marion where Bill’s RC Hobby Shop is located we catch up with team driver Adam Rayls. This past weekend he competed in their Icebreaker event, and he also had himself a day as he locked up the TQ and wins in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 Buggy classes along with 13.5 Stadium Truck!

Now let’s get some updates from our international team starting with Australian team driver Lachlan Munday. Last weekend he competed in the Coleman Cup at the Knox Club in Melbourne which was also the final round for the Victorian Driver Series. He would grab the TQ and W in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes, which also gave him both class titles for the series too!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of French team driver Clément Boda. In the previous weekend the French Cup was held and he would set the TQ in both Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy, then he raced on to finish 2nd in mod wheeler, plus picked up the victory in mod 2wd!
