Race Team Update – April 2024 Week #3

Another week of racing is in the books for the JConcepts race team as they continue their winning ways! Read about our latest podium finishes in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out at Maximus RC Raceway in York, ME. This past weekend they held their Iron Maximus trophy race, and team driver John Cravotta TQed both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes then raced on to finish 2nd overall in both!

His tire teammate Matthew Sousa also competed in these same two classes and was able to take the win in both!

Next, we head down to LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA to see how the team finished at their season opener trophy race that brought out 336 entries! Starting with team driver Ethan Mackanick he reported that he competed in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and finished 3rd overall! Joining him on the nitro buggy podium were fellow JC driver Joey Bourdon (1st) and Juan Lopez (6th)!

JC driver Daniel Sedler competed in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, and when the dust had settled he would finish 10th in e truggy and 4th in e buggy! Joining him on the e buggy podium were his teammates Greg Harmer Jr. (TQ & 1st) and Joey Bourdon (2nd)! Greg would also finish 8th in nitro buggy too!

JC driver Dylan Manchanda raced in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class and finished 7th in the B Main while running fast all weekend long!

His brother and fellow JConcepts driver Aydan Manchanda finished 6th overall in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class, along with a TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Team driver Adam Curry raced in two classes and would end the event with a 4th place finish in 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy, plus 2nd overall in 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Veering our way down to Virginia we stop in the city of Winchester where Adrenaline RC Raceway is located. They recently held a round of their points series, and team driver Javon Mallory raced in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished 1st overall!

Heading over to the “Land of Lincoln” we get our next report from team driver Lukas Klein. This past weekend he traveled to Crawler Canyon RC Park in Rockdale to finish up their points series. He would win six of the seven classes he competed in, plus picked 2nd overall on the other class! He also earns our coveted “ironman” award this week for competing in the most classes at one event too!

Staying in Illinois let’s get this next update from team driver Cody Meiferdt. He went to Thunder Road Hobbies in Moline to compete in the opening round of their point series. He would finish 2nd overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class, and joining him on the podium in 3rd place was his tire teammate Troy Weber!

Now we make out way to KeyStone Ramp in Sand Springs, OK for our next report. Team driver Tim Davis competed at a crawling event held there, and he finished 3rd overall in Class 2 after competing in three different courses!

Shooting down to Texas we get our next report from team driver Scott Brewer. He went to the city of Amarillo where Amarillo Raceway Park is located to compete in Round 2 of the Rocky Mountain Summer Series. He would wrap up the round with a 2nd place finish in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

His tire teammate Tony Hinojosa competed in three classes and would just miss the transfer spot in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class, finished 10th in 1/8 Electric Truggy and he snagged a 4th place finish in the Short Course Truck class!

Heading west to sunny California we stop in at Silver Dollar RC in Chico. This past weekend they held their King of Spring trophy race and team driver Bryce Beaver would set the TQ and take the win in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Working our way up to Washington let’s get our next update from team driver Evan Roeth. This past weekend he went to Pasco to compete in Round 1 of the Northwest Championship Tour.

He raced in four different classes and put in some great results!

  • 1/8 Electric Truggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 1/8 Electric Bruggy = 3rd place
  • Mini Truggy = TQ and 1st place
  • Mod 4wd Buggy = 1st place

Also throwing down laps at this event was fellow JC driver Shane Preugschat. He would finish 4th in both the Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 40+ 1/8 Truggy classes, along with the TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Now let’s get some updates from our international team starting with team driver Ben Panic. He recently traveled to Manila in the Philippines to compete in the Asian Buggy Championship.

In the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class he had a rough B Main and was not able to transfer to the A Main, but in the Master 1/8 Niro Buggy class he would finish in 2nd place!

Team driver Darren Johnston also competed in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and would finish in 8th place in one of the lower mains!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of young team driver Jake Dell. This past weekend he raced at Round 1 of the UK Nationals and placed directly into the 1/8 finals finishing in top half of all the competitors!
