Renegades BX Tires
Over the course of many years, few tire and wheel combinations have existed for the iconic Tamiya Lunch Box, and Midnight Pumpkin. JConcepts with their designers from Groveland, Florida have once again added a new item to the line-up at the request of customers and enthusiasts. The Renegade’s tire is now legendary in the RC monster truck world and adapting this tire to the famous duo was a match made in heaven. The Renegades BX tire with scale chevron style lugs is created with specially designed back-cut tread and shaved carcass areas imitating the real thing.
At rotation, the tread still stands tall and provides a hefty edge of forward grip in a variety of conditions. The back-cut section provides a small transition during high-speed corning which conforms to changing terrain and obstacles. The sidewalls have been treated with wording, designs, and descriptions consistent with 1:1 tires during the glory generation of performance. The low-profile stance of the Renegades are mainstays in the business and stay very flat during racecourse competition, bashing sessions, speed-runs, or general use.
The tire carcass profile holds the weight extremely low while the design of the tire beads allows just the right amount of contact patch for gluing and application. The Renegades are available in soft “blue” compound which is recommended for dirt, grass and asphalt and feels noticeably mushy and sticky and has expanding characteristics like off-road racings outdoor compounds. Renegades’ tires are complete and include open cell “React” inserts to support the grippy tires. The superior race tires are packaged 2 pieces per package and pre-stuffed with the inserts for a nice, clean, and small footprint item.
The JConcepts items require the use of #3432 Tribute BX wheels (not included) available in white, yellow, black, and gray colors.

Tribute BX Wheel
The Tribute BX wheel by JConcepts packs an assortment of options into a design and style that mimics the golden age of Monster Truck racing. With a list of design considerations, the team went to work on a simple and durable one-piece wheel design that was first stout and second versatile. It was important to incorporate an adapter which alters fitment for the famous Tamiya Lunch Box, Lunch Box Evo, and Midnight Pumpkin. Using the same wheel front and rear is possible with the inclusion of a front adapter for bearings and rear adapter for the standard Tamiya puck mounting system.
It was important for the wheels to maintain a certain look made popular in the hard-core side-by-side racing days. In addition to the fitment adapters, JConcepts includes planetary covers and hardware for the wheels which provide more scale realism. The adapters are installed with M2 x 8mm screws and centers precisely on the wheel for positive engagement. The wheels include closed planetary caps which attach with M2 x 5mm screws. The planetary caps support a scale look as well as a quick-change racer function to suit individual needs.
The Tribute BX wheels are available in white, yellow, black, and gray colors to match any color scheme or realistic build.
