JConcepts New Release – Renegades | Tribute BX for Tamiya
Renegades BX Tires
Over the course of many years, few tire and wheel combinations have existed for the iconic Tamiya Lunch Box, and Midnight Pumpkin. JConcepts with their designers from Groveland, Florida have once again added a new item to the line-up at the request of customers and enthusiasts. The Renegade’s tire is now legendary in the RC monster truck world and adapting this tire to the famous duo was a match made in heaven. The Renegades BX tire with scale chevron style lugs is created with specially designed back-cut tread and shaved carcass areas imitating the real thing.
Tribute BX Wheel
The Tribute BX wheel by JConcepts packs an assortment of options into a design and style that mimics the golden age of Monster Truck racing. With a list of design considerations, the team went to work on a simple and durable one-piece wheel design that was first stout and second versatile. It was important to incorporate an adapter which alters fitment for the famous Tamiya Lunch Box, Lunch Box Evo, and Midnight Pumpkin. Using the same wheel front and rear is possible with the inclusion of a front adapter for bearings and rear adapter for the standard Tamiya puck mounting system.

Groveland, FL – JConcepts introduces the all-new X-Bite, a fresh pin tire option developed for outdoor racing and future events around the world. Built specifically for 2.0” rear wheel applications, the X-Bite combines decades of off-road tire knowledge while blending inspiration from championship-winning designs of the past. Drawing influence from the successful Dirt Bite 1:8th off-road tire and tipping a cap to pin tire trends from the early 2000’s, the X-Bite delivers a unique combination of modern performance and nostalgic styling.
4-Ribber 2.0″
The JConcepts 4-Ribber front tire is perfect for a variety of track surfaces and inspired by our Australian friends looking to be era correct in the 2wd vintage class. The 4-Ribber incorporates a compact tire body with sharp 4-rib separation for precise steering input and response. The carcass has low-profile sidewalls leading up to the cutting edge right where you want them for quick transit steering. Center ribs are spaced for straight-line tracking ability and off set to provide additional cornering leverage.

Designed, built, and produced in the 11th hour, the new S15 body for the Schumacher Cat PB is everything you’ve come to expect from JConcepts. The heritage of the IFMAR World Championship winning S15 design runs deep in the new shell, and hits on all cylinders. A great body to decal, the performance body has a lot of racing surface area to display an array of sponsors, and support.

During the 2010’s, Brian Kinwald sported this style window design on some of his off-road race cars and JConcepts used a combination of his inspiration with ours to form the new pod style cab.

The 1999 Ford F-250 was part of the first generation of the Ford F-Series Super Duty lineup, bringing a bold new look, increased capability, and a distinctly tougher presence to the F-Series family. JConcepts takes that iconic Super Duty styling and transforms it into an aggressive 1:10-scale monster truck body designed around a 13.00″ wheelbase.

Heavily inspired by the early 2000’s dynamo, the JConcepts Dragonator whisks through the turns and brings creativity to another level. The 1:10th buggy class is ruled primary by JConcepts performance bodies such as the S2, F2, P2, and S15. For the new season of off-road racing, the team got a bit more creative and sculpted and notched up to another level with this angular beauty. Cab forward, cab rearward, the debate lives on, but the Dragonator is something different.

The P2 body is standard in the JConcepts line-up. The performance body has been a winner since first hitting the track at the 2017 IFMAR Worlds in Xiamen, China in the hands of Ryan Maifield. The body shell has been used throughout the line-up from 2wd buggies, 1:8th buggies, all the way to bashing vehicles. The P2 is versatile and legendary in the line-up from JConcepts, and we are proud to release another for the mini truggy class.

No line-up is complete for JConcepts without the inclusion of the P2 body. Fresh out of the factory, the team built and prepped the highly successful body shell for the Losi Micro B specifically for the racing scene and it appears to be a hit. The Punishing details stand out like a champion featuring the long and forward based cab with recessed front window and heavy railed cab for added rigidity. The Micro body has all the details of the larger counterpart designed around the smaller platform.

The JConcepts REACTOR FW Steering | RW Steering Set gives REACTOR owners the parts needed to take their retro monster truck from front-wheel steering to fully functional four-wheel steering. With the surge of vintage options entering the market, JConcepts has dug back into the arsenal for new flat wing options. Going back to the late stages of the RC10 and early stages of RC10B2 generation racing, the flat 5.5” wing was a standard option for racers. The very simple layout, single height deck, one angle transition and low rear gurney option were all racers needed. The flat wing has simple yet tall side dams with near 90-degree corners on the leading edge completing a more box stock appearance.

A project from the man himself has now appeared as an option for 13mm shocks. The BK piston, machined in low friction Delrin material has opened a can of goodness racers have only heard about, until now. The prototype slotted piston, machined by BK using equipment purchased exclusively for the master of all RC trades, was for sure a late-night project. During 2016, finding grip with newly released mid-motor vehicles was a vicious hunt for low-traction dirt conditions.

Straight out of the JConcepts 3rd dimension, the 3DP tire designed and developed for carpet off-road racing is a new winner in the line-up. Up to this point, the JConcepts Fuzz Bite, Pin Swag, and artificial surface tires have dominated events around the world. The superior design, tire compounds, and pre-mount availability have established these items as go-to favorites for racers for the last several years. Introducing the latest, the 3DP revolutionary tire capable of high-performance with advanced wear characteristics. A longer life span on the carpet is created by adding pins and surface edges without reducing driving stability.
The same 3DP design is offered across the popular 1/10 carpet off-road wheel sizes:
2.2″ 2wd / 4wd rear-style fitment mounts to wheels such as the #3353 Mono, available in bright white and fluorescent yellow. JConcepts also offers the Pioneer wheels separately for modern vehicles, featuring the raised-panel design in colors such as retro pink.

JConcepts continues to re-write the script when it comes to off-road body design, development, and styling. It is difficult to find a more successful body shell than the F2 design by the creators from Groveland, Florida. As the release drops of the R1 R1B Mark 1, JConcepts set off to incorporate all the functionality of the IFMAR World Championship winning shell and wrapped it around the newest dynamo from R1 Wurks. The exclusive composition of the cab, extra rear windows, louvered roof all tied together with Finnisher “V” configuration makes the F2 a classic performer.
