Race Team Update – September 2026 Week #4

As September rolls to an end the JConcepts race team keeps charging their way to the front on tracks around the nation. Read about our continued winning ways this week’s Race Team Update!


We start this week’s report out in sunny California. Last Saturday the The Boneyard in the city of Menifee held another monster truck event.

Team driver Michael Letcher was competing with two trucks as he made it to the semi-finals in racing with both, and he just lost out on a tie breaker in the Freestyle competition too!

Making our way over to Oklahoma we catch up with team driver Tyler Keel.

This past weekend he went to Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon to compete in the final round of their points series where he took the win in the Open Sprint class!

Our next stop is at Dream Fields Coliseum in Waterloo, IL. This past weekend was the final event of season for OffTrack R/C so let’s see how the team finished starting with JC driver Chris Parrish. He reported that after crushing cars were done for the day he would take home his first Retro Clod season championship!

Team driver Josh Rhodes was also at this event, and his replica Bigfoot IV brought home the overall win for the day and finished 2nd overall in the series! His replica Black Pearl rig finished 3rd for the series in the Sport Modified class, while his Grave Digger brought home the win in Freestyle!

Crossing the Mississippi River we now head over to Bad Fast Hobbies in Sioux City, IA. This past weekend they hosted the ROAR Region 8 1:10 Carpet Off-Road Regionals, and team driver Jake Wiggs had himself a day as he took three TQs and wins!

  • 17.5 2wd Expert Buggy = TQ & 1st
  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = TQ & 1st
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = TQ & 1st

Also collecting hardware for team was JC pilot David Peavler who finished 2nd in 17.5 2wd Expert Buggy, plus the TQ and win in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy! His son Jayme finished 3rd in Mod 2wd Buggy along with the TQ and 2nd place in Independent 17.5 2wd Buggy! JConcepts driver Jacob Sweisberger would finish 2nd in 13.5 Stadium truck along with the TQ and W in 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Working our way up to Wisconsin we now visit Trailmates RC Raceway in Wausau.

There we find team driver Tyler Aubart who was competing in their Grass Drags RC Championship, and he would finish 3rd in Mod 4wd Buggy along with the TQ and another 3rd place in 1/8 Electric Buggy!

On to Ohio we now visit TARCAR in the city of Toledo. The final round of The Series took place there, and we had many driver in attendance so let’s see how they finished up. Starting with team driver Tony Sosnowicz he let us know that once the series wrapped up he would finish 3rd in both 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy! Finishing 2nd on the nitro podium with him was his tire teammate Mike Legue!

Team driver Kyle King was also at the finals and he would lock up 4th place in the series for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!


JC driver Ilan Sanderson would finish the day in 1st for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class and 1st overall for the series too!

Heading east we now visit PLRC (Power Line R/C) in Fredericksburg, VA. This track was host to Round 5 of the VCS (Virginia Off-Road Championship Series) this past weekend.

It was a podium sweep for JConcepts in 1/8 Electric Truggy with Layton Miskolczi (3rd), Garrett McCutchan (TQ & 1st) and Brian Miskolczi (2nd) filling out the top three spots! Layton would also finish 7th in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy while Brian would set the TQ in this class then race on to finish 2nd overall!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Derrick Harris. This past weekend he went to Sumter RC Raceway in Sumter, SC to compete in the King of the Carolinas series event that took place there. When the racing had concluded he would finish in a lower main for Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy along with a 8th place finish in 1/8 Electric Truggy!
