The last two weeks have been busy for the JConcepts race team at they continue to dominate on the track so let’s get right down to business for this double stuffed Race Team Update!
We start this report out in California as many of our drivers were competing at different events the past few weeks. Rain-Man’s Hobby and Raceway recently hosted the 24th Annual Pro-Line Summer Shootout and our driver Joseph Levin reports that he took the TQ and win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class while using Silver compound Ellipses sanded to slicks plus a F2 body!
His teammate Derek Stephansen reported that he finished 2nd in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy class while running on Silver compound Ellipses along with a F2 shell and a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wing! He used the same equipment package to finish 2nd on the podium in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class too! Joining him on the podium to complete the JC sweep were teammates Doug Lariviere (1st) and Lucas Wedsted (3rd)!
JC driver Rob Moots took the double TQ and win in the 17.5 Stadium Truck and 40+ 17.5 2wd Buggy classes!
Now we head to the city of Rescue where the Rescue Community Center RC Track is located. They recently hosted Round 2 of the Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks Points Series and our driver Jeremy Bunting was in attendance.
He competed in 3 classes and put in great results!
2.2 Class = 1st place with the following products:

2.6 class = 3rd place with the following products:

Now we channel our next report from team driver Jesse Granat. He recently visited Channel Islands RC in Santa Barbara and finished 3rd overall in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class while running a S15 body, Kosmos tires in the R2 compound, Bullet wheels and a RC8B3 | RC8T3 Servo Bracket!
Our next Cali report comes from team driver Mike Sorchy. He recently competed at Ricochet R/C Raceway in El Centro for their Summer Sunday Series.
He finished 2nd overall in Mod 2wd Buggy while competing with Nessi rear tires, Swaggers up front, Mono wheels, a 6.5″ Carpet | Astro High-Clearance Rear Wing, a B6.3 Front Wing and a P2K body!
Now we head over to Columbia Falls, MT where Glacier RC Raceway is located. Team driver Angus Matheson checks in to let us know he took 1st overall in the 4wd SCT class while running on Sprinters on all four corners!
Let’s now go to the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” for a few reports from the team competing at several events throughout the state. Starting with team driver Thor Ott he reports that he went to Loosenuts Raceway in North Branch to compete at the 2nd Round of the MNRC Series. He would go on to take the TQ and W in the mixed Mini Truggy and Mod 4wd Buggy class while competing on Double Dees and Blue and R2 compound Sprinters!
Also competing at the event held at Loosenuts Raceway was teammate Tony Sletten. He would finish 2nd on the podium in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class behind JC mate Kyle Holmberg! He used R2 compound Reflex tires along with Bullet wheels and a S15 body.
Also competing at this race was JC mate Joe Scaramell and he finished 3rd on the podium in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! Then the following weekend he went to Full Throttle Raceway in Foley for the 2nd Round of their series and he finished 3rd again in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class! For both weekends he ran both the Blue and Aqua compound Reflex tires.
Our next report in Minnesota comes to us courtesy of team driver John Bolten. He recently attended Blooming Prairie RC² Park in Blooming Prairie to compete on their fresh, loose dirt layout. He would take the TQ and win in the mod 2wd Buggy class while running on Green compound Double Dees and Rips.
Jumping the border we land into New Franken, WI where Dirt Heaven Hobby and Raceway is located. Team driver Ryan Derenne reports that he competed at their 3rd Summer Series race and finish 3rd overall in the Mod Stadium Truck class while running on Blue compound Carvers up front, Blue compound Sprinters in the rear, plus a Finnisher body!
Heading down to the “Show-Me” state let’s check in with the team competing at the Summer Slideways Oval Points Series held at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs. Starting with JC driver Travis Slover he reports that he bumped into the A main and would move up to 6th overall in the Open Late Model class! His car was turning fast left hand laps while running on Gold compound Ellipses in the rear, Dirt Webs up front, along with 9 Shot wheels and a L8 Night 10″ Wide Late Model Body!
His teammate Jeremy Cathlina was also competing at this series event in the Open Sprint class. He would finish 2nd on the podium while running the same tire setup at Travis!
Next we shoot down to Arlington, TX to check in with team driver Rhett McNair. He recently attended Round 4 of the Saturday Summer Series at GoldStar Hobbies and Raceway and competed in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes. He would finish 2nd in 2wd and take the TQ and win in the wheeler class! Aiding him was Fuzz Bite and Swagger tires.
Heading east we stop in at Crossville, TN where RC Farm is located. They recently held their grand opening and our driver Randy Enger was there to break in the track with another JC victory.
He competed in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes and would take the double TQ and win! While the sun was up he used Aqua compound Ellipses and once the sun went down he switched over to the Green compound. He also used a S2 body on his wheeler and a P2 body on his 2wd car. Joining him on the 4wd podium in 2nd place was teammate Izriah Osborne!
Speaking of Izriah, he also competed in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class too. He would also finish 2nd in that class and he used Silver compound Ellipses on his wheeler with a F2 body, plus R2 compound Diamond Bars and a S15 body on his e buggy!
Heading down to Savannah, GA our next report comes to us courtesy of team driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. He recently raced at Round 1 of the 2021 SCORE Summer/Fall Points Series held at Phil Hurd Raceway and he would take the TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class! He started the day on Green compound Reflex tires. Then after some rain he switched over to Green compound Kosmos tires for the 2nd qualifier. Then for qualifier #3 he switch back to the Green compound Reflex tires. By the mains the track had grooved up again so he opted for the Blue compound Reflex tires.
Heading up the coast we stop at Shelby, NC where Mobile Hobbies is located. Our driver Robert Meyer Jr. recently competed at the NC State Race held there and would put in great results!
- Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy = TQ & 1st while running on Blue compound Ellipse tires
- Mod 4wd Buggy = TQ & 1st while running on Blue compound Dirt Webs up front, Green compound Ellipses in the rear
- 1/8 Electric Truggy = TQ & 2nd while running on Blue compound Ellipse tires
Our next report comes to us from team driver “Miss’ Bella Rogers. She recently went to Tri-Cities RC Racing in Lavalette, WV for their rescheduled Brawl For It All race event. She competed in both the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes and would walk away with a TQ and win in both! Her winning e bug used A2 compound Reflex tires and a S15 body while her truggy used A2 compound Reflex tires and a Finnisher body.
Heading further north we head into Pennsylvania to get a few updates from the team competing at different race tracks. Stating with JConcepts driver Matt Morris he reports that recently he competed at FSARC Raceway in Altoona and ran in three classes:
- 2wd 17.5 Buggy
- 2wd Mod Buggy
- 4wd Mod Buggy
He would TQ both 2wd classes and start 2nd overall in the 4wd class. After the mains were ran he would end up 1st in all three! His 2wd cars used Green compound Dirt Webs while his 4wd used Sprinters in the same compound.
Our next report comes to us from team driver Matt Adams who was in New Florence where WOCRC (Wide Open Crazy RC) Raceway is located. They recently put on a trophy race and he competed in 4 classes, taking the TQ and win all of them!

- E-Truggy = TQ & 1st while running a Finnisher body, a F2I wing, Bullet wheels, a RC8B3 | RC8T3 Servo Bracket and Green compound Ellipse tires
He also takes our coveted “Ironman” team award for this week too!
Our next report comes to us courtesy of JC driver Tim Rothenberger who recently visited WNRC Speedway in Felton, DE. He competed in the Mod Sprint class and finished 2nd overall while running on Green compound Sprinters!
Now let’s get some racing updates from our overseas team. This past weekend was the 2021 JConcepts Outdoor Canadian Championship at Bego Racing RC Raceway. This event saw over 230 entries and our Canadian team was out in full force at this event! Several drivers made the mains and contributed to the team’s overall success as you can see below!

Our next report comes to us from team driver Alberto Garcia. He attended the Spain Nationals and rocked the Detox and Blockers tires in the O2 compound along with a F2I wing and S15 body!
Team driver Jesper Rasmussen reported that he doubled up with a TQ and win in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes at the recent Danish Championship! He used a P2K body on his 2wd, a S2 body on his 4wd and both bugs used Aero wings and Black Fin Titanium Turnbuckle sets.
This past weekend the 1st round of the French 1/8 Nitro Championship was held in Reims near Paris and JC teammates Sebastien Mure and Clément Boda competed there. They would finish 8th overall after the 45 minute A Main while running on Black compound Reflex tires! Also helping them compete that weekend was Clément’s father, Stéphane Boda!
Our final report this week is from Australian team driver Jordan Isergin.
He recently club raced at his home track in Keilor, Melbourne and took the TQ and win in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes! He utilized both Black and Green compound Ellipse tires along with a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wing!
