Race Team Update – May 2026 Week #3

Week three of May is in the books and the JConcepts race team continues to rack up wins around the globe! See where we were winning at this past week in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report in the Northeast at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. This track hosted another round of the RCMTC (R/C Monster Truck Challenge) and we had many drivers competing so let’s see how they finished up.

 

Starting with team driver JJ Eaton he reported that he finished 1st in the ProMod class! Taking 2nd place was JConcepts driver Dan DeFalco!

Team driver Scott Welch was also crushing the competition at this event, and he would finish with two 3rd place finishes in the Retro and Challenger classes! Taking the W in the Retro class was his tire teammate Kyle DeFalco and rounding out the podium was JC driver Ethan Saunders in 2nd for a podium sweep! Ethan would also set the TQ in Retro and grabbed another TQ followed by a 8th place finish in ProMod as well!

Team driver Chris Ciriello would finish 1st and 2nd on the podium in the Challenger class!

Now we head over to LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA to see how the team performed at the Northeast Shootout.

Team driver Gloop Mahey competed in the Intermediate 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, and he would finish 19th in e buggy and 13th in e truggy!

Also throwing down laps at this race was his teammate Mike Petrocelli. He also competed in Intermediate 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the Intermediate 1/8 Nitro Buggy class, and he would finish 18th in nitro and 8th place in e buggy!

Sending it south we now visit the Easley R/C Complex in Easley, SC. This facility hosted the 2026 East Coast 1:10 Nationals last weekend and we had many drivers competing so let’s see how they did. Our first report is from JConcepts pilot Chris VanRaemdonck who signed up in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes.

When the dust had settled he would set the TQ in 2wd then race on to grab the W in both classes!

Also throwing down hot laps at this race was team driver Jason Westfall who would set the TQ in Mod 4wd Buggy then finish 2nd overall!

Team driver Owen Simmons competed in four classes at this race with some great results!

  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • Mod Stadium Truck = TQ and 1st place
  • 2wd Short Course Truck = TQ and 1st place

Those are some awesome results and he also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for competing in the most classes at a single RC event!

Flying down to Florida we now catch up with team driver Joshua Vicidomini. This past weekend he went to Tallahassee where Capital City is located since they were host to Round 3 of the Florida RC Championships. He competed in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and would finish 3rd, plus joining him on the podium were fellow JC drivers Joseph Ruggiero (2nd) and Dylan Coe (4th)!

Next, we head over to RC3 (Rocket City Radio Control Racing Club) in Huntsville, AL for this quick report from team driver Randy Enger. This past weekend they held Round 3 of their points series, and he was on a roll again as he netted the double TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!

Crossing the state line we now visit Saratoga-Flowood R/C Raceway in Magee, MS for this update from team driver William Ables. This past weekend he went there to compete in their 5th Annual Family Reunion race, and he would leave the get together with a 2nd place finish in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy, plus the W in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Taking the TQ and 2nd place in 40+ e buggy was fellow team driver Martin Harrison!

Moving north to Missouri we stop in at Blue Springs where Fastlane Raceway is located at. This past weekend was Round 1 of their outdoor summer point series, and team driver Jake Stoeltzing is off to a great start as he finished 2nd overall in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Heading up I-35 we now make our way to Dallas Center, IA where the RC Compound is located.

This facility held their 2nd event of the summer which included some 1:5 racing, and team driver Joe Zaier Jr. was ready to rock as he took the win in the truck class!

Wiggling our way up to Wisconsin we now catch up with team driver Ryan Derenne.

This past weekend was the opening round of the summer series at The Yard RC Raceway in Luxemburg, and he would finish 10th in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class plus 3rd overall in Mod Stadium Truck!

Crossing the state line once again we now move over to Minnesota to get a few updates from the team. Starting at SkyView RC Park in Minnesota City, this track was host to Round 1 of the MNRC Series that saw 156 entries! It was a clean sweep for the JConcepts team in the 1/8 Electric class as team drivers Kc Belke (1st), Kyle Holmberg (2nd) and Dru Dokken (3rd) all made the podium!

Also competing at this round was JC driver Josh Ford. He competed in two classes and when the day was over he would finish with the TQ in 1/8 Nitro Truggy then he drove on to take the win, plus picked up a 6th place finish in 1/8 Nitro Buggy too! Joining him on the truggy podium in 3rd place was fellow JC driver Reiley Maiers!

Our second update from the state was submitted to us from team driver Marco Moreno. He attended the finals for the FMRC 2025-2026 Winter Series in the city of Dilworth, and after the season points were tallied up he would finish 2nd in both the 13.5 4wd and 17.5 2wd Buggy classes plus a 1st place finish in 13.5 Stadium Truck!

Now we head to Arcor Raceway in Albuquerque, NM for our next report. This past weekend team driver Tony Hinojosa competed at their 2026 Southwest Showdown which is race 3 in the New Mexico State Championship Series. He registered for two classes and would finish 2nd in 1/8 Nitro Truggy and 1st place in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Now we fly out to sunny California for our next update. This past Saturday was Round 4 of the So Cal Monster Truck Racing Series held at the Boneyard in Menifee. Team driver Michael Letcher competed in three classes and he would make it to the quarter finals in ProMod, the semi finals in the Mini LMT class, along with the win in Retro!

Also competing at this event for the team was JC driver Jessica Dahl who took the W in the Mini LMT class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of Australian team driver Jarod Ment. He recently competed at Round 4 of the New South Wales Racing League, and he would finish 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy plus grab TQ and win in the Mod 4wd Buggy class!
